Windows Converter provides an alternative to getting things done with the command line. Instead of executing commands from the command line, you can use Windows Converter to create an application that incorporates all the commands you want. If you want to, you can distribute the application you create – others could use it on their PCs.

You will not have to go through an installation or setup process to get started with Windows Converter. What you will have to do instead is download an archive, a 19.1MB archive to be more precise, extract its contents, and then run windowsconverter.exe.

Run the Windows Converter executable and you will be presented with the application’s interface. From top to bottom, you will see the following on the interface: a ribbon File Menu; a section for choosing a command; a section to select as many parameters as you want and enter a description. The simple truth of the matter is that you should not have any problems getting started with the application’s interface.

If you find the command line to be a cumbersome means of executing commands, then the functionality Windows Converter has to offer is ideally suited for you. With Windows Converter you can turn command line into a Windows application, Windows application that you can redistribute to others if you want to.

Get things done faster by using Windows Converter to create a Windows application that incorporates the command line executions you want.

Pros

Windows Converter does not have to be installed, and that makes it portable. You will quickly figure out the interface. You can turn command line software into Windows applications with Windows Converter. At this time, there’s no Windows Converter version for Linux or Mac OS X; but the developer is willing to add support for these platforms if the users are interested.

Cons

None that I could think of.
